‘WE BUY HUMAN PARTS FOR N12, 000 FOR QUICK MONEY ‘- SAYS SUSPECTED RITUAL KILLER

A member of an alleged group, Adebayo Mubashiru, has come clean to the fact that he and his colleagues buy human parts, including skulls, eyes and teeth, at the price of N12, 000.

The suspect was detained along with three others in the Abeokuta and Owode Egba areas of the state by the troupe of the Ogun State Police Command.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspects have a specialisation in killing humans for ritual purposes.

Iliyasu, who showed-off the suspects at the headquarters of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Magbon, Abeokuta, said the four suspects belonged to two different ritual groups.

According to him, one of the syndicates comprising Mudashiru and Rasheed Abass, who lives in the Totoro area of Abeokuta, was apprehended on Thursday by representatives of the FSARS.

He said the two suspects were found on a motorcycle with a certain suspicious bag by policemen, who were on patrol, and they were blocked for a search.

In his statement, it was reported that the search led to the findings of fresh and dried human parts, dead lizards as well as charms, adding that they were sequential killers.

He also stated that two other suspects, Lateef Aremu and Kolawole Shodipo, were also arrested at the Owode-Egba area of the state, same day.

According to the state commissioner of police, operatives of the FSARS got information about them and followed them to their hidings where they were arrested with the human skulls and the bones.

The accused suspect, Mudashiru confessed to our correspondent saying that he and the second suspect paid N12, 000 for the human parts.

He, however, denied that they were ritual killers, but said they were just looking for how to get quick money.

In the words of Mudashiru, “We bought all the human parts for N12, 000. We are not ritual killers. We want to use the parts to make fast money". He said.

In the words of the other alleged criminal, Aremu said, “I am a herbalist and a farmer, am not a ritual killer.”

According to him, he had been in the business for almost 20 years now and that the charms and other items that are found on the body parts are meant to help people.

He added that he had once told Shodipo to bring human parts for ritual purposes, and he (Shodipo) did bring them.

Also in the parade of the suspected ritual killers, were two suspected armed robbers, Tope Adegoke and Michael Uko.

They were accused to have robbed a victim and made away with his ATM card.

They allegedly inflicted machete cuts on him as they forcefully got his pin number, with which they withdrew a N100, 000 from his account.
