Mrs. Patience Jonathan has urged current President Muhammadu Buhari to treat her the way her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, treated Aisha Buhari when he (President Buhari) lost the 2011 presidential election.

This statement was found in a report by her Chief Press Secretary, Belema Meshack-Hart, on Monday.

Patience, who is under investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, saidshe was being probed, because of the prominent role she has played during the build up to the 2015 elections.

According to a description made by Mrs. Patience Jonathan to the then Presidential candidate of the all progressive congress, Buhari was described as a brain-dead man.

She complained, saying that whatsoever happens during the election should not be a reason to persecute her.

Mrs. Jonathan therefore warns that Buhari takes caution alongside the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, against harassing her.

She insists that Buhari learns from the United States President, Donald Trump, who did not go after the wife of Barack Obama, Mitchelle, even with the fact that she campaigned against Trump.

The statement is partly read thus “it is highly believed that she is being systematically persecuted and castigated because she refused to support her husband during the 2015 elections.

“This should serve as a reminder to President Buhari, that his wife also supported him in all the elections he contested against her husband, former president Jonathan. Jonathan never carried out personal revenge or threw a fight against his (Buhari’s) wife.

“Mitchelle obama campaigned hectically for her husband’s party during the last presidential election, but yet the US president is yet to fight against her.

“One thing still stands: No matter what people do to Mrs. Jonathan, she will always stand by her husband, even if it worth’s paying with her life” she explained.
