Former Rangers owner Craig Whyte is now the only person who faces fraud charges relating to his time at the club.

Whyte was originally charged, along with six others, over alleged offences relating to the purchase of the club in 2011 and its financial management.

A pre-trial hearing was held at the High Court in Glasgow on Friday, where charges were dropped against all other defendants.

Whyte appeared in court along with David Grier, who worked for administrators Duff & Phelps, and lawyer Gary Withey, while joint administrators Paul Clark and David Whitehouse sat in the public gallery.

The charges against Grier, Withey, Clark and Whitehouse have now been dropped.

In relation to Whyte's indictment, charges against Charles Green and Imran Ahmad were also dropped. A further preliminary hearing is scheduled to take place on July 29.
